I have chosen to be self-published until I have made a name for myself that can get me in front of traditional publishers. While traditional publishing opens many doors for authors that are normally not open for self-published authors it is very hard to get noticed by publishers due to the sheer volume of authors sending their work to be considered for publishing.

Self published authors like myself bear all the costs of publishing a book which can be significant. Many professionals contribute to the publishing process, some of those professionals are:

• Developmental Editors
• Manuscript Editors
• Copy Editors
• Cover Artists
• Book Designers
• Marketing Professionals

All of the above professionals need to be paid even before a single copy of a book is sold. In case of self-published books all the funding comes from the author which in this case is me.
